How To Get Good Hair

I never really thought about my hair dryer making my hair feel like straw. That is, until I decided to buy a new one. I always figured that it was the blonde making my hair dry. (It helps..) My hair guru suggested that I buy a higher end hair dryer since I've tried some really good deep conditioners. She suggested I try the CHI.

I went to Bed Bath & Beyond to check out their supply (hello 20% off coupons that never expire). Luckily they had some CHIs! This is the one I bought.

CHI Air Pro Expert Ceramic Hair Dryer

This sounds crazy, but I went out and bought it at lunch. It was misty outside so I ran home to test out my new dryer. YES, I am that girl. Since my hair was mostly dry, I didn't really notice a difference. What I did notice was the noise it was making. It was SO much quieter than my other dryer! It literally sounded like it wasn't going to screw my hair up. I would compare it to driving a 2001 car and then test driving a 2012 car. Seriously. I was so excited I called S and turned both dryers on so he could hear them.

I think the pictures speak for themselves. RUN get a better hair dryer!!! Yes it is more money, but it will actually save you money in the long run. Especially if you have damaged hair!

Day 1

Since yesterday was my last day of cupcakes and cake, I went to the grocery store at lunch and stocked up.

This is not a drill..

I had a turkey wrap and 6 vanilla cupcakes..

Taking the rest to a friend's house tonight to get rid of them! 40 days is a long time my friends, a long time.

Since today is Fat Tuesday, I decided this year that I would be giving up cupcakes and cake. For those that know me, this is truly going to be a challenge! Last week I had FOUR cupcakes from Gigi's, and I may or may not have bought those 2-bite cupcakes from Publix on Sunday and finished them on Monday. Yes, I will be buying more tonight so that I can indulge one last time before I completely give them up for 40 days. I have to, right?

S suggested that I give up cake and cupcakes, since he knows I need them to survive am addicted to them. Like any good girlfriend, I suggested that he give up his weakness, Taco Bell. That boy can eat Taco Bell for literally every. meal. When he was in high school his dad would ask him what he wanted for dinner after soccer practice. He always said Taco Bell. His dad took him to Taco Bell every day for a straight month hoping that it would make him get tired of his beloved Taco Bell. It backfired.

The "How We Met" Story

S and I met September 17, 2011, 2 days after his birthday. A childhood friend of his lives in Atlanta and he was coming to visit before he drove to West VA to see his family. His childhood friend was dating an acquaintance of mine, and we all hung out that night. S's friend had tried to set me up with another of his friends but that didn't work out so well. I wasn't looking for anything, but I was up for hanging out. It's not like I had anything better to do anyway.

The boys picked us up from my friends house and we went to dinner at BBB. It was all kinds of awkward because we went outside when they arrived and we literally said hi and got in the back of his car. After dinner we went to the W down the road and hung out at the rooftop bar.

I felt pretty comfortable with him from the beginning. Which explains this.. We all went back to my friends' place and since she has a one bedroom place, and I lived close, I didn't want to stay over. S's friend suggested S take me home. So, I took him home. ;) He came into town to see his friend, but ended up spending the majority of his time with me. From then on we were both hooked. 

Awww I loved typing that out. Makes me smile. Go ahead, find a trash can. :P

Woman don't start shaving... just make sure at least twice a week you are exfoliating and scrubing your face, neck and body with a facial scrub and body scrub. Be careful not to scrub too hard. You'll be amazed also at how much smoother your foundation will appear and also how much better your creams and serums will soak into your skin! via

So last night I went to get a mani/pedi. I wanted all my nails painted with Essie's Sand Tropez.

On the left hand, ring finger I wanted a red heart in OPI's Vodka and Caviar.

Sounds easy, right?? Well, apparently not. I had to wait a little while for the guy to come paint the heart on. No big deal. So he gets there, and paints a heart. This is what I had in mind..

I'm sorry but is that a strawberry?! WTF! Ugh, of course when he asked if I liked it I said yes. I felt bad for him. Plus I didn't feel like having him take ALL the polish off that nail and repainting 2 coats, then attempt to screw up another heart. He obviously didn't know how to draw. So I went home. I repainted that nail myself.

It's not as cute as I wanted, but you can at least tell it's a heart!
